The problem
Dense material is hard to take in on one pass, and simplifying it usually cuts the link back to the original. Indian-language readers also lack accessible explanations with audio.
What I built
- One codebase delivered as a Chrome extension and a web app.
- Learning Packs from a URL, pasted notes or a PDF, with reading levels, read-aloud and recall practice.
- The Gemini API behind a multi-model fallback chain, on a Cloudflare Workers backend.
- Shadow DOM isolation, so the extension never collides with the host page.
A decision I like
Every explanation and card keeps its source attached, so you can always check what it was simplified from.
